Located next to St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in St. Martinville, LA. It was originally started as a cemetery because of a dispute with the local Catholic Church over Freemasonry membership of its founder. Today Baptists as well as Catholics from the descendants of the original founders are buried here.
A couple of notable graves are Lt. Col. Valsin A. Fournet, founder and benefactor of the Yellow Jacket Battalion in the Civil War. WWII USMC fighter ace, and Medal of Honor recipient Col. Jeff DeBlanc is also buried here.
