Ayrault Lot-NK-#104
Location: Off Salisbury Rd., Cedar Point
This lot contained at one time the oldest engraved headstone in North Kingstown, RI. Harris placed it on the land of the Hamilton Web Co.

Harris listed the following on his 1880 visit:

H. Esterbrooks
E. Eldred
Mary (Eldred) Adsey, d. 1691, AE 65th
Eliza Ethrina Aurault {sic}, d. Oct. 1680, A. 88

There are 22 fieldstone graves interspersed among these graves.

When Burgess visited in 1936, he counted 19 fieldstones graves. On one grave, he discerned 1691 and the letters AR. He said that Norman Isham had been told by James Arnold that there were Ayraults buried there. He said that Ed Early b. 1856 had seen a flat engraved stone when he was a boy. It was later broken up by village boys.

Owners say that today only fieldstones remain.
