The first Amish Mennonite Cemetery is located on the north end of the village of Croghan on the property of Jim and Joyce Zehr (911 address is 9890 State Route 812, Croghan). There are no grave markers other than two stone grave markers preserved at the Mennonite Heritage Farm. The one-quarter acre cemetery is enclosed with a white fence. Individuals are welcome to use the owner's private driveway to visit the cemetery at any time.

The pioneer Michael Zehr family was the first immigrant family to arrive in 1833 from Alsace-Lorraine who settled on this land. Approximately 39 bodies are buried on the privately owned property.
