Description from 1972, as observed by George Kenneth Reynolds, grandson of George Marshall and Loise Paralee Williams Reynolds, and his cousin, Jean Casteel Brown. Blackburn Cemetery is outside Cushman, Independence County, Arkansas. This cemetery, next to the Old Batesville Turnpike, was once the site of a church and school and adjoins the farm purchased by George Marshall and Loise Paralee Williams Reynolds in 1869. When the cemetery was visited in 1972, it was quite run down and the headstones were hard to find and/or hard to read. Most of the readable stones were Williams family markers. This cemetery was apparently abandoned even then and may have now (2012) been destroyed.
