History: Reynolds Chapel, an early Methodist mission, was built ca. 1850 on 1 acre of land which was donated by James and Sarah E. Calder. It was first called "McIntosh Mission" but was changed to "Reynolds Chapel" in 1853 in memory of Rev. Andrew J. Reynolds who died while serving as the Pastor of this and the Darien Methodist Church. (source 2) The Cemetery dates to this time as his was the first recorded burial. The Mission continued until 1920. We are grateful to the late Will B. Dean for information and directions to this Cemetery.

Recording began in the Southeast corner. Rows are East to West. Grave numbers are South to North.

Francis Bartow and Dora Townsend Dean were moved to St. Andrews Cemetery.
