The homestead of Dale Curtis Capehart & Iris Jean (Walter) Capehart was located in present Beaver Creek State Park almost towards Rogers. Since the Capehart family moved from their homestead and relocated to East Liverpool/Wellsville, the site became overgrown and is now down a thick brush path.
This family was desolate and very poor, so were granted the homestead from Iris's Uncle. Eventually, Dale was able to become certified as an electrician and got a job at Crucible Steel in Midland. Going from having nothing to being able to live and have money like most other people, the Capehart family was able to buy their own home ~ living in both East Liverpool and Wellsville over the years.
On this homestead, there is just one burial (currently known of) from when the Capehart family lived there. In an unmarked, shallow grave, in the woods somewhere around the homestead is buried a stillborn child of Charlene Capehart (a daughter of Dale & Iris).
The actual location of the grave on this lot of land is not currently known, and since it is unmarked will probably always be a mystery.
