St. John's Cemetery, Stamford, Niagara Falls

Stamford Green Heritage Columbarium is located inside Old St. John's Anglican Church on Portage Road in Niagara Falls, Ontario Canada.

One of the oldest surviving churches in Ontario, it was built on land donated the Captain R.H. Dee under the patronage of Lt. Gov. Sir Peregrine Maitland. It served as an important place of meeting on the well-traveled Portage Road between Queenston and Chippewa. An example of early 19th-sentury Canadian Vernacular architechture, it was restored 1985. Constructed of limestone covered with stucco, it features regency gothic windows, a sided bell tower, six-panel double wooden doors, buttresses along its southeast angle and an apsidal rear chancel.
