Location: The Cemetery is on the Northwest side of Sapelo Island. The exact location is unknown.
History: Thomas Spalding gave this Northern portion of Sapelo Island to his son, Randolph Spalding, who died during the War Between the States. His widow sold the North end tract in 1866 to John Griswold of New York City. It was then sold to others and in 1881 Amos Sawyer of Northampton, Mass. purchased it. He deeded the Belle Marsh tract to Joseph Jones and the Lumber Landing tract to Caesar Sams.
Cornelia Bailey, a Jones descendant, says there are several graves, no headstones, on the Belle Marsh tract.
