Search Jessee-Fuller Cemetery Spring City:

This cemetery has no official name as far as can be told, and a review of all cemeteries in Russell County and a search for the graves of the most prominent occupants (John Henry & Louvisa Jessee, Trigg & Gussie Jessee, and John & Edna Fuller) indicates that it is not catalogued. Unless someone has a more appropriate name, it will be called the Jessee-Fuller Cemetery Spring City because most if not all burials are from the Jessee and Fuller families and their relations and there are many cemeteries already using the names Jessee and Fuller, but this will be the first one to use both.

IF YOU GO: The cemetery is on the old Fuller property and is located on an active farm. Please be considerate of the fact that the cemetery is on private property, and you may want to let the people in the old Fuller house know that you're there to visit the cemetery. If you notice any problems, please notify me at jhjones115.

DIRECTIONS: The cemetery lies a few miles out of Lebanon, Virginia on State Route 82, Cleveland Road. From Main Street in Lebanon, the turnoff is easy to find with a sign for 82 arrows pointing to Cleveland and Carbo. The cemetery is on the right side of 82 as you drive away from Lebanon, and is behind the white house at the intersection of 82 and County Road 662. It is on the hill behind and slightly to the left of the house. The easiest way up is to park on 662, climb over the metal gate on 82 to the left of the house, and walk straight up the hill. Step over the one-wire electric fence around the cemetery.

Johnny (Big Johnny) Jessee of Lebanon deserves our thanks for putting up the fence to keep out the cattle, keeping the grass and weeds cut down, and helping preserve the cemetery for our families.
