Search West Hill-First Settlers Cemetery:

The West Hill - First Settlers Cemetery is located on the west side of Carrie Howe Road, .1 mile south of Warren Mountain Road. It is not on the side of the road, but up a steep incline and then a short distance into the woods and it can not be seen from the road. According Burial Grounds of Vermont (1991) the cemetery was first used in 1801 and last used in 1866. It was recorded as "fair-some broken & some brush" with 45 graves as of 8 December 1988. As of 23 August 2015 it was in fair to good condition. It was clear of brush and vegetation with 38 stones. A few were broken, damaged, fallen over, leaning and/or with the lower part below grade.
