The United Church Cemetery is named after Alexander “Boss” Gibson, local entrepreneur, Lumberman and Cotton Mill owner,he also had his hand in transport, the Gibson Train. Boss Gibson was largely responsible for turning the fledgling town of Rankin Mills into the prosperous industrial town he later renamed “Marysville” after his wife, Mary (Robinson) Gibson.
