The "Jonestown" cemetery is located in Revell's Neck, (Westover), Md. The cemetery contains the graves of African-Americans. There are approximately fifty-seven visible graves in the cemetery. Most of the graves have no headstone or marker. The graves are marked with the very familiar concrete slab prevalent in cemeteries throughout the lower Eastern Shore of Maryland.
According to Mr. Ray Jones, who was born in "Jonestown" in August of 1912, this small African-American community in Revell's Neck was known as "Jonestown" to the local residents. Older White residents referred to this area as "the line."
Numerous homes and a church once stood in Jonestown.
