EADS- 1881-1897 in honor of Wm C Eads. The community of EADS, pronounced Edds is in the NW portion of the county in the vicinity of Buckhorn Creek, more specifically Sec 14 Twp 12N Range 32 W of 5th principal meridian.
The post office of Eads was established Oct 1881 with Wm C Eads the postmaster followed by
Wm A Briscoe. July 1882, reappointed Aug of 1882.
Mr Francis M Clawson was appointed May 1887.
The postal service was discontinued 1897, mail transferred to STOP.
This community is primarily a farming & ranching community
