Search Miller Cemetery:

The Miller cemetery is completely surrounded by open farm land of cotton and soybean, but easily accessible on hard ground. At the east and west ends stand a small grove of giant pecan trees. The land was given by John Lewis Miller as a place of rest for his family and friends. The location is near Little Rock, Alabama, Escambia County T-2-N, R-7-E, Section 18. When driving from Interstate-65 north bound, exit at #69 and turn southeast toward Flomaton. At approximately 1/4 miles turn right onto county road 17 (also known as Old Atmore Road). Continue on CR-17 for approximately 7 miles to the Stanley Crossroad. There, turn right again onto CR-27 and continue for 1.5 miles to CR-45. Right onto CR-45 (also known as Butler Street), for approximately 1.2 miles. At Peacock Lane turn right (north). Peacock will merge with Jesse Lane and your direction will change to westward. Having turned onto Jesse Lane, you will see the Miller Cemetery on the left in the open field among a stand of pecan trees. Looking northward, one will be able to see the traffic passing on I-65 in the distance. When driving from Interstate-65 southbound, exit at #69 and turn south toward Flomaton. Follow the instructions stated above. When driving from Atmore, Alabama, take CR-27. Stay on CR-27, driving through the communities of Robinsonville and Little Rock; crossing two clear water streams (Sizemore and Big Escambia), and passing through the Creek Indian Magnolia Wildlife Management area. Approximately 1.5 miles north beyond the Magnolia area, turn left onto CR-45 (Butler Street) and follow the directions as stated above. From Flomaton, turn left onto CR-113 and continue for about 5 miles. At the Sardine Road (also known as CR-27), turn left and continue to the Stanley Crossroads. Continue through the 4-way stop for another 1.5 miles to CR-45 (Butler Street). Follow directions stated above.
