The first known survey of this cemetery was done by Dr. Allan E. Marble on July 22, 1967, at which time he surveyed 216 headstones. Per his usual custom, he did not give the cemetery a name but assigned it an identifying number, in this case 49, and a location, Karsdale.

At a later date, Genweb volunteers transcribed Dr. Marble's survey notes and made them available online at Rootsweb and, at that time, the volunteers named it "Christ Church Anglican Graveyard" and cited the location as Karsdale.

On December 15, 1992 this church was officially registered as a Municipal Heritage Property by the Municipality of Annapolis County. Construction on Christ Church Anglican Church in Karsdale was begun in 1790 and consecrated in 1793. Its original name was St. Paul's Church.
