Getting there
From Riga city center, take tram 11 toward Mezaparks/Ezermalas iela. Get off at the Bralu kapi stop. When you get off, look behind you and to the left. You will see a street going to the right lined with flower vendor stalls - this is Aizsaulies iela, Raina kapi is located at the end of the street on the left side.
Raina kapi (Cemetery of Rainis) is part of the Meza kapi (Forest Cemetery)complex. It is named after its most illustrious internment: Janis Plieksans aka 'Rainis'.
The gate was designed by Aleksandrs Birzenieks in 1929.
