It's the oldest Norman church in Hastings (late 11th century, though had to be rebuilt in 1380 following damage caused during attacks by the French). It has had a very recent refurbishment, which is nOt exactly sympathetic, but most of the church remains a pleasure to visit with 15th century features. Some of the windows were destroyed when a bomb exploded during WW2. The church where Rossetti and Lizzie Siddal were married: St Clements, High Street, Hastings.
