Lucas Cemetery is located on the backwaters of the Tennessee River. Only one stone stands under large trees surrounded by a fence. The stone reads "Destroyed 1948 - Restored 1952". John Hobbs Lucas owned and operated Lucas Ferry south of Beulah Land. He built one of the finest brick houses in the county at that time. It was torn down by the Tennessee Valley Authority. Portions of the following information was taken from the Wheeler Reservoir Cemeteries and TVA removal records supplied by Mr. James L. Douthat.
