This is an old cemetery that hasn't been used since the 1920's or so. The Roman Catholic church next to the cemetery was a log church built in 1902, was officially incorporated as the Church of the Holy Cross in 1904, and it caught fire and burned down on Jan 1, 1917. There was also a parish house to accommodate the priest, and services were held for about a year in the parish house after the church burned. The first resident pastor was Father R. Wawrzynski. The church was then rebuilt as Holy Cross Catholic Church in Harding, about 2.5 miles NE of here, which has its own cemetery and maintains this old cemetery as well.

The cemetery is a little difficult to find. Follow the driveway from the road back, and there is a fence around the cemetery with a gate.
