This cemetery was created in the early 1878. In 1929 the City of Rapid City moved all burials to Mountain View Cemetery.
No stones were taken, the remains were dumped in to a Common Grave in Mountain View Cemetery'.
About 72 people, some known and some unknown were moved from this cemetery to Mountain View in 1929 so the City could build a Water system. They told the community too move the dead, and some were moved but not all had family to move them, 72 or more stayed and were dumped in to a common grave at Mt View by the City and Sexton of the Cemetery.
