From Moore History written by J. Cephas Moore 1886:
"The Moore grave yard is situated on a tract of land called Pretty Hole that is now generally called Coalchester Resurveyed. It lies in the vicinity of Moore's Run in (Barton) Allegany County, Maryland. Started in about 1811. Jesse Moore (born Oct 10, 1809) was the first one buried there in 1811. His sister Liddey (born Nov 10, 1793) died 2 weeks later and is buried there also"
Most of the burials listed are from the recollections of J. Cephas Moore. Most have no grave markers, however there are many field stone markers that bear no legible inscriptions.
