Location Information: The cemetery is on the northern outskirts of Melilla about 2 kilometres from the Plaza de Espana close to the port, via the main street, Avenida del Generalissimo, and the Calle Castelar or Calle Padre Lerchunda, which run parallel to each other uphill to the cemetery. The collective grave is near the main entrance. Cemetery address: Calle de Padre Lerchundi, s/n - 52002 Melilla. GPS Co-ordinates: 35.296896, -2.941439.
Historical Information: This civil cemetery contains the collective grave of nine airmen whose aircraft crashed at Cape Tris Forcas on 15 June 1944. It is marked by a marble memorial crowned by a bronze cross, which was constructed by the Spanish Air Force. Upon this are carved all the names, and appropriate inscriptions in Spanish and English.
