The first known survey of this cemetery was done by Dr. Allan E. Marble on July 3, 1971. Per his usual custom, he did not give the cemetery a name but assigned it an identifying number, in this case 104, and a location, Falkland Ridge.

At a later date, Genweb volunteers transcribed Dr. Marble’s survey notes and made them available online at Rootsweb and, at that time, the volunteers named it “Baptist Church Graveyard” and cited the location as Falkland Ridge.

The church was built around 1890 and dedicated in 1891. The 2014 cover photo shows the church with its adjacent graveyard but in 2020 the church was demolished. Only the cemetery remains now.

DIRECTIONS: The cemetery is located on the east side of Ridge Road at Civic #830, site of the now-demolished Falkland Ridge Baptist Church."
