This cemetery is presently unlocated. It probably originated as the burial ground attached to the first site of Yadkin Baptist Church in the upper Yadkin River Valley in present-day Patterson, Caldwell Co., NC. Laurence H. Coffey refers to it in his "Thomas Coffey and His Descendants" (1931) as the burial place for the earliest generations of the Coffey family in the Valley. He describes the cemetery as being on the east bank of the river on land owned by Thomas Coffey who settled in the Valley in the late 1770s. According the Laurence Coffey, the cemetery was one-half mile east of the Thomas Coffey homeplace, a house no longer extant but situated within sight of Harper's Chapel Methodist Church across the river to the west. By the early 20th century, according to Laurence Coffey, the old cemetery had become so neglected that he arranged for the removal of the remains of Thomas Coffey and his wife Sarah to the cemetery at Harper's Chapel. Presumably the other burials remain untouched, though likely only marked with field stones.

Locating this historically important graveyard would be a great service.
