Brooks, daughter of T.J. Brooks.) In 1854 Brooks bought the West 1/2. A 1/4 of Section 15 was purchased in 1841.
The two-story antebellum house of the Brooks burned in 1987. The Brooks' homeplace is now owned by the Noordermeer family, imigrants from Holland.

Location and description of cemetery found in the notes of the late Miss Marjorie Andrews, LaFayette, AL:

"Cemetery about 7 miles from LaFayette on Ridge Grove Road, over hill from "Dutch" Noordermeer's farm, which all used to be big farm of prosperous early settlers Jefferson Brooks, sometimes called Stevens/Stephens Cemetery because this family bought or inherited the part of farm and lived, buried there."

The cemetery is located directly behind the home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Williamson (2015).
