Search Loch Ard Cemetery:

The Loch Ard, a 1,693-ton iron-hulled clipper was wrecked on Mutton Bird Island reefs near Port Campbell, Victoria, Australia early on June 1, 1878. The Loch Ard sailed from England three months earlier with 54 people on board when disaster struck. Only 2 people survived the wreck: Tom Pearce, a crewmember and Eva Carmichael, 18, travelling to Australia with her family. Tom saved Eva then ran for help. The few bodies recovered from the shipwreck are buried in Loch Ard Cemetery.

In an email from Len Sherrott, a maritime historian in Melbourne Australia, 18 Nov 2011:
Recently, we discovered the grave of Tom Pearce in Southampton. Currently there is a ground swell building to have the Loch Ard Cemetery cleaned up.
