Private Property; restricted access with owners approval. This cemetery measures about 30'x40'. Other than the 3 graves listed, it is very difficult to tell if there are more. The site is very old with deaths dating back as far as 1815.
There is legend of an uncrossed-over spirit that haunts the property and they have named her Elizabeth; after Elizabeth Neblett Orgain, who's headstone needs frequent uprighting. The property owners did not believe in the legend till they interacted with it's curiosities first hand. The radio is kept on for the chickens and since the owner prefers country music, that is where the radio is tuned. Occasionally, when he returns the station has been retuned to classical. Then there are doors opening & closing in sequence with the chickens parting the way to the next door, only no living person is present. The Perdue crew that inoculates the chickens won't go into the one barn because "there's a Haint in there!". Rocks were removed from the property about 80 years ago and used for a chimney repair on a nearby farmhouse. Apparently, part of Elizabeth traveled with them because the home owners can hear noises at night and a rocking chair going to and fro. I notice that her headstone is likely a replacement and the Z in Elizabeth is backwards, maybe she wants it fixed? Fortunately, Elizabeth did not enter my digital camera and infect my computer, so I am able to tell you her story.
