Directions from Coldspring, Texas:

Head West on 150 State Hwy. until you get to FM 1725. Turn left on FM 1725, heading towards Cleveland, Texas. Travel about 2 miles South on FM 1725 and turn right on Mosley Road. Travel down Mosley Road (Old Dirt Road) until it ends at an illegal gate (put up by a private property owner), then proceed to the "Albert Mosley Estate" a/k/a "Old Bass Homestead" and the cemetery is located on the property.

History of Property:

Albert Mosley purchased 40.5 acre(s) more or less out of the Jose Maria De La Garza Survey from Fayette Williams & John Ledwith on 8/29/1952 in Bk. 63 Pg. 136 of Deed of Records.

Fayette Williams & John Ledwith purchased the same tract of land from Ella Smith on 11/21/1913, as recorded in a Release of Lien on 11/19/1918 in Bk. 18 Pg. 298-299, which makes reference to the "Old Bass Homestead Place" and being the same location as the "Albert Mosley Estate".

Ella Smith and Frank Harrell was awarded the same tract of land in a Civil Suit Re: Ella Smith vs. Mrs. Betty Rogers In the Matter of the Estate of Richard Bass on 5/12/1910 in Bk. 16 Pg. 629-631, which makes references to the "John Cameron Grant" and the "Old Bass Homestead Place" and being the same location as the "Albert Mosley Estate".

Richard Bass purchased the same tract of land (which was 570 acres at that time) from John Cameron on 10/22/1856, thru his Attorney Richard Williams in Bk. 8 Pg. 247-249, which makes reference to the land, as part of the "Cameron Grant".

John Cameron (or Jaun Cameron in Spanish) purchased the land, known as "Eleven Leagues" from Jose Maria De La Garza on 3/8/1830 in Bk. 7 Pg. 11-14.

Jose Maria De La Garza received the land through a land grant under the Mexican Constitution and the King of Spain.
