The Walker-Cox-Somerford Cemetery is located a short distance south southeast of Navasota, Texas in the original Tandy Walker survey and is now on privately owned property off CR 317 to the north of the Bovay Scout Ranch. It is difficult to access. In the past it has also been identified on death certificates as the Bullock Cemetery and the Kennard (Kinnard) Cemetery. Somerford descendants alone attempt to maintain the cemetery grounds and protect it by a barbed wire fence. This is a mixed racial cemetery.
