Search Maddux Family Cemeteries (Fort Pickett):

"Maddux 1, 2 and 3 were all located north of Gettysburg Road and east of Pine Road (Training Area 47) in what was Tract J-453 (1&2) owned by William M. Maddux et ux. in 1944 (Table 1 and Figure 1). All are marked as "relocated" on the 1944 map and one (Maddux 2/Cemetery B) is included on Godburn's list of cemeteries relocated to Butterwood Church where 7 individuals are listed: George Bagley Maddux, Lucy Bagley Maddux, Edward B. Maddux, Mrs. George Bagley, Jefferson Infant, Mrs. Marion J. Witt and George Bagley (Godburn 1977: G-3). The other two cemeteries (Maddux 1/Cemetery A and Maddux 3) are thought to have been moved to Gills Bridge Road as there are 6 Unknown individuals recorded as having been moved from this tract (see Table 5). The exact locations of these former cemeteries have not been identified at the time of this survey."
