Search Martin Family Cemetery (Fort Pickett):

"This family cemetery was located between Wonju and Lewis Roads just south of Twin Lakes (Training Area 14). It was one of 3 cemeteries (see Waddle and White Cemeteries) located on property (Tract D-494-2) owned by Charles Martin in 1944 (see Table 1 and Figure 1). It is marked as "relocated" on the 1944 map but not included on
Godburn's list of cemeteries relocated to Butterwood Church (Godburn 1977: Appendix G). Although it cannot be specifically connected to the information on the metal markers at Gills Bridge Road Cemetery, it is quite possible that the graves from this cemetery were relocated there. The location of this cemetery had not been verified at the time of this survey."
