The New Quaker Cemetery at Kingston Upon Thames is hidden behind walls. The description 'new' is misleading as it has long since ceased being used, but differentiates it from the Old Quaker burial ground, which has been built over. It appears that the lawn has been roughly damaged, posing the possibility that remains may have been exhumed, perhaps with he intention that the site should serve some other purpose in the near future. the remaining headstones seem to be of a small and uniform appearance, perhaps reflecting the Quaker dislike of memorials.

August 2010: all remains have been exhumed under the Burial Act 1857. It is understood that the friends have tried to contact all relatives of the dead. Certainly, the photo of the lawn supplied by the friends looks very different to the state at present. It appears that the wonderful old buildings, which are a feature of this area, may be subject to compulsory purchase and destroyed. The remains have been re-intered at a communal site at Surbiton Cemetery.
