Binghamton State Hospital Cemetery

In 1858, the New York State Inebriate Asylum was founded for the medical treatment of inebriates. The building sits on 250 acres. The original graves of 1500 patients who died there were relocated in 1961 when Interstate 81 was constructed. The names of those who are interred here are of public record and can be found at the Broome County Public Library, Binghamton, New York.
