"This family cemetery is located on South Shacks Hole Road approximately 30-40 meters northwest of the intersection of Longstreet and South Shacks Hole Roads. The cemetery
is abandoned but well maintained with a wood and barbed wire fence measuring approximately 3 by 3.5 meters (Plate 5). It was surveyed by Pamela Hurak as "Fort Pickett Interior Cemetery #4 (Longstreet Road)" (Hurak 1996: 13)."

"There are 2 marble headstones with footstones oriented east-west and dating to 1911 and 1912. The cemetery was photographed in Godburn's 1977 Historic Properties Survey
(Godburn 1977:51) which illustrates that the present fence has been built since 1977. This cemetery was not marked as "relocated" on Tract K-475 owned by Ethel Gertrude
Sculthrop in 1944 (1944 Real Estate Map). Godburn did not include this cemetery on the list of those graves relocated to Butterwood Church (Godburn 1977: Appendix G)."
