In August 2013, all the markers in this cemetery were photographed by Diane Gravlee, an American visitor. Some of the markers were a simple cross with just a name. Mary Trace has done a great deal of work over the past five years with regard to the past residents of Stewart, British Columbia, Hyder, Alaska and the surrounding area. This includes those buried in Ward's Pass. She produced a book, which is entitled "People of the Portland Canal District." This book could be of value to anyone researching the burials in this and other local cemeteries. She has worked closely with Shirley Rosichuk at the Historical Society and is more than willing to assist you by checking her publication.
