This cemetery is also recorded in other sources and it is located in Burrell Township, Armstrong County, PA. It is in the small, unpopulated, place, which is known as Cochran's Mill and is certainly well off the beaten path…

From the bridge in North Vandergrift, PA, drive on ALTERNATE Route 66 North, a total distance of 5.79 miles to the intersection of Cochran's Mill Road, on the right and Grantz Hollow Road on the left. (This Cochran's Mill Road is often mistakenly listed as Hilty Road on some GPS or Road Atlas maps.) Turn right onto Cochran's Mill Road and drive for 3.27 miles to the "T" intersection at the Burrell Township Municipal Building and Firehall and across from the Dunkard Baptist Cemetery. At this "T", turn left onto Garrett's Run Road and drive 0.7 mile, down the hill, to the bridge over Crooked Creek. (This bridge is the now vacant location of what was once Cochran's Mills.) BEFORE crossing this bridge, turn right onto Cochran's Mill Road and drive across the "Lower" bridge and up the hill, away from the creek. From this Lower bridge drive up the hill until you get to the very first Driveway on the right...a distance of about 1/4 mile.

From here on, it is recommended you have 4 wheel drive or chains and, in the snow or if the muddy road is wet, do not attempt driving to this place. This road is very rutted and careful and slow driving in most cars will suffice to get you thru but if you have a "Low Rider," forget it and go ahead and walk.

Turn right onto this drive way, proceed for about 100 yards and bear to the right, at the fork. Drive to the gate, by the first Gas Well and even though it usually appears locked, it often is not. (The lock is almost never set and is usually open.) Open the gate; leave it propped open and TAKE THE LOCK WITH YOU!! Proceed past the gate for a distance of 0.7 mile on the rutted and dirt road. You will pass a couple gas wells and TWO "Roads" to your left. Take the third "Road" to your left, and drive about 200 yards and look to your right to see the stone marker. If you get to the gas well you missed it by 100 yards. (If you get to the second Gate, you missed this third left turn.)

On your way out…Please remember to close the gate and replace the lock the way you found it…
