The cemetery is on your left immediately after you turn onto Brigham Street from South Street (Rte 135). It appears to just be an empty wooded lot. In the Northwest corner there are four (4) small markers with foot stones remaining. The original graves were mounded with stones. Some of the mounds with stones are visible. Some of the mounds have been covered over the years with leaves and grass but remain visible in neat rows. The cemetery originally was in Westborough. Area settlers did not want to make the trip down to Westborough to use the church cemetery as it involved crossing the Assabet River and took most of a day round-trip. When Northborough split from Westborough, the cemetery was on the Northborough side of the line.
Although Lambert in "A Guide to Massachusetts Cemeteries" 2nd ed lists that all burials were moved to the Howard Street Cemetery (cites an NEHGS manuscript), that is not the case.
