Hebrew Burial Association (a.k.a. Chesed Shel Emeth of Pittsburgh) was organized about 1853, and the land for the "Old" Cemetery was purchased the same year. The land for the "New" Cemetery was purchased in 1913.
***The Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery, the Anshe Lubovitz Cemetery, and the Tipereth Israel Cemetery lie adjacent to each other in Shaler Township.

Directions
Turn right onto Centre Avenue to second light. Turn right onto Liberty Avenue and continue through Bloomfield to 40th Street. Turn right onto 40th Street and cross over the 40th Street (Washington Crossing) Bridge. At end of bridge, turn right onto East Ohio Street towards Millvale. Continue past traffic light and bear left onto Evergreen Road. Continue on Evergreen Road to Seavey Road. Turn right onto Seavey Road and continue to Soose Road. Turn left onto Soose Road and continue to top of hill. Turn left at top of hill onto Oakwood Street. Continue up the hill. The cemetery is the first cemetery on the right.*The old Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery is located on Seavey Road shortly before Soose Road.
