While sharing the same previous name as the Alexander Cemetery in Maury County, this location is a separate cemetery. The cemetery appears to have been abandoned, as no visitors have attended to the property in many years. It exists on Maury County tax records as "Beech Grove Cemetery", and may have been the site of a church at one time.

The land parcel is landlocked in that it does not have any public access, however, the cemetery most closely borders the property at 844 Hickory Ridge Trail, and several graves can be seen from the rear of this address. The cemetery is heavily overgrown by ground vegetation and an overhanging tree canopy.

The cemetery consists of three distinct sections or phases: a phase pre-dating the mid-1850s in which only plain slate markers exist with no names or dates (the bulk of the graves are this type), a phase from the late 1800s consisting of marble or sandstone markers with names and dates, and a later phase from 1900 to 1955 utilizing modern marker styles.
