The Sandtown Cemetery is reported in the family histories of the Freestone County History Book Vol.I, page 316-319 to be near the Cook's Ferry River Crossing on the Trinity River which is a few miles upriver from the old town of Troy and Pine Bluff areas. Some report that this cemetery is the same location as the Edward's Cemetery which was also near the Troy/Pine Bluff area while others say that they are separate locations.
