Whitted Family Cemetery

Additional information: This African-American descent cemetery is also known as the "Whitted-Grady-Obie Families" cemetery.
In 1974, the unfenced cemetery did not appear to be regularly maintained. There were seven rows of 20 graves marked by rough stones and funeral markers and 23 unmarked graves. Mr Clyde W Whitted Sr of Hillsborough supplied the identification of ten graves.
In 2005, this cemetery has been vandalized and desecrated, apparently by the residents of the apartment complex. It appeared to have been used in 2004 for a Halloween Ghost House. It was difficult to make out any order in the grave locations. Newer burials were noted in the cemetery.
