Dreamer Cemetery is located in the northwest corner of Richhill Township, on the Majorsville Road (SR 3001) just east of the West Virginia line. The cemetery had its origin in Isaac N. Dreamer's stipulation in his will that an acre of ground was to be set aside for a cemetery in which he, his sister and his mother would be buried. He further stipulated that the poor of the community who were unable to purchase a place for burial were to be given space there. His will provided for the purchase of two markers, one for his family and the other for those who had fought for their country in its many wars. Each of these markers was to cost $5,000.00, and the remainder of his estate was to go to the Dreamer Memorial Cemetery Association to beautify the grounds and for the perpetual care of the property. Since this association was not formed in his lifetime the courts declared his request null and void, and the estate went to relatives. The cemetery sat neglected until 1978 when it was taken over by the county and made a public park.
