Add PhotosArticles of agreement between Schuet and the "Muskego Centre Cemetery association" (of which Schuet was secretary) are on file in the office of the register of deeds. Most of the burials in the cemetery took place in the next three decades. Only one burial was found to have occurred as late as 1920.
Nearly all the names on the headstones are of German origin; a few names are still familiar ones in the Muskego area.
Bodies were disinterred and some moved to Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha and some moved to Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin, Wi.

UPDATE: The bodies were disinterred in May of 1956 at the request of Charles Rose who owned Dandilion Amusement Park in order to make room for a parking lot. A few went to Prairie Home, a few to Arlington in Milwaukee, a few to Forest Home in Milwaukee and a few to Sunnyside in New Berlin. The MAJORITY went to Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin. Those who are located at Highland Memorial Park are in Section 12. There is a marker there which indicates that they were once buried in Muskego Centre Cemetery.
