The Ghost Town of Christmas is located about 10 miles North of Winkelman, Arizona on State Highway 77 at mile post 146.5 or about 25 miles South of Globe, Arizona if going South on State Highway 77.
The mine is owned by the Freeport McMoran Copper & Gold, Inc. in Phoenix, Arizona and is closed to the public. Entrance can be gained by permission from Freeport McMoran Copper & Gold, Inc to FAMILY MEMBERS who have loved ones buried in the Christmas Cemetery.
