Located in Trimble Township, off of County Road 68, going west, a short distance from Township Road 310, on the left side of the road, a short distance beyond the turn off for Beech Grove Cemetery. It is about two miles off the road, and over a small wooden plank bridge. The land was deeded by Levi and Lydia Ann Harrison Norris to the "members of the Methodist Episcopal Church at Walnut Grove." Athens County Court House (Deeds, 28:345)
In Oct 1939, a W. E. Peters called it "Walnut Grove Cemetery" and gave the location as "Range 14, Town 11, Section 30" (W. E. Peters papers, Vol 21, pg 104-106, Ohio University Archives, Special Collections, Athens OH)
There were about 45 stones visible in 1983, but not all were readable. Our visit found almost no stones readable and very few were still in the ground.
