The Hall Cemetery is a family plot located near the community of Flat Rock in Conecuh County, Alabama. The Hall family was apparently somewhat reclusive and self-sufficient. The farm was large and productive, supporting Jim and Fanny and three children. On the property was established a modest home made entirely of cinder blocks, a water well and modern plumbing inside the dwelling. The outbuildings were sufficient to house farm animals, a tractor, and a shed for Jim's pickup truck. The children attended public school at the township of Owassa, and Sunday church at the Jones Chapel Church.

To reach Flat Rock and the Hall Cemetery, exit the Interstate-65 at ramp #101. Travel eastward on CR-22 for approximately 1/2 mile. At the 4-way stop will be the Olive Branch Church & Cemetery. Go through the 4-way and continue (crossing the CSX rail tracks) for about 3 miles. There will be a water tower and pumping station on the left. Turn left here onto CR-72 (aka Flat Rock Road) and proceed for another 3.5 or 4 miles to the community of Flat Rock. At Flat Rock the highway becomes CR-26. On the left at Flat Rock will be the Jones Chapel Church & Cemetery and on the right is the Flat Rock Volunteer Fire Department. At a distance of about 1/4 mile beyond the VFD is the Will Lynch Road, a hard clay road that is well maintained. Turn onto this road and continue westward for about 1.5 mile. The old homestead will be on the left and two modest trailer homes will be on the right. The Hall Cemetery is clearly seen from the roadway, on the left and is situated on an open meadow surrounded by cedar trees. The area is well maintained and parking is available at graveside.
