"Cimetière de Bozouls", 12340 Bozouls, FRANCE. Tel: +(0)5.65.51.28.00; fax: +(0)5.65 51.28.01. Bozouls (in the language of Occitan, "Boason") is a farming village within the Department of "Aveyron", situated in southern France. It sits atop the "Causse Comtal" ...a limestone plateau between the city of "Rodez" and town of "Espalion". The region is known as the gateway to "Rouergue" and lies at the centre of that plateau, just 25 Km north of Rodez. The village is located off the D20 (departmental highway), a route called the, "Maquis de Jean Pierre" - (by auto): 30 minutes from Rodez, an hour from the "Gorges du Tarn", 2-hours NE of Toulouse, and 6-7 hours due south of Paris. The site of the old-town portion of the village is bounded by an ancient, geologic canyon called, "Le Trou de Bozouls" (carved by Nature into the bedrock, to form a winding series of deep gorges - hollowed-out by the "Dourdou" river). The cemetery itself is located within the limits of the village, indeed - in view of the church (known as, "L'Eglise de Saint Faustus"), but on the opposite side of the gorge, to the SE. There is also a "Columbarium" and a "Jardin du Souvenir" (memory garden) located inside the cemetery. Courtesy of: FAG contributor #46567652 on 18-Jun-2013.
