JAMES LYNN, SR. FAMILY GRAVEYARD
Located in Beech Grove on a hill -
south side of Main St.
This is known to be a large cemetery.
Among those buried were:
James Lynn (1760-1832) ARW Soldier
Wife, Hannah (Wright) Brents-Lynn -
b. 10/27/1766 d. before 1832
Wm. Jordan (1833-1855) consort of
In 1811, James Lynn and wife, Hannah,
bought 1000 acres of land and established
a home in what is now the village of Beech
Grove. When the area around the site
of the graveyard was sold by an heir in 1841,
it was specified in the deed that 1/2 acre
be reserved for the cemetery.
