Among the most remote cemeteries in Taylor County, Kentucky, the burial ground of Henry Johnson's family was an overgrown briar thicket just a few years ago. There are 14 graves in the cemetery, the oldest being Elizabeth Morris Johnson (1809-1886), the most recent being Loucretia Miller Hash (1866-1939). The property passed out of the Johnson family in 1931 after the death of Elizabeth Skaggs Johnson, daughter-in-law of Henry Johnson.
The cemetery is listed as Taylor County Cemetery # 128 (Johnson Cemetery I) on page 10 of Taylor County Cemeteries (Kentucky Cemetery Records Project Vol. 1 Taylor County). The location is described as off Hodgenville Road (Kentucky 210) across Splatter Branch on Army farm. The latitude is given as 37° 24’ 01”, and the longitude is given as 85° 29’ 04”.
