Built in 1793 but probably with 14th century origins, the Glamis Parish Church stands against the medieval transport of St Fergus’s Church, the remainder of which was removed when the new church was built on the present site. The transept was built c 1459 and is now used as the burial vault of the Earls of Strathmore as the Strathmore Aisle. It is roofed and has a modern window and doorway in the south wall.
